Adnan Khashoggi

Adnan Khashoggi (or Kashoggi) is a former billionaire Saudi Arabian arms-dealer and businessman.

Once thought to be the world's richest arms dealer, he once purchased £3.2 million worth of casino chips at The Ritz Casino in London over the course of 4 days with cheques that later bounced.  He was alledged to have gambled £10.1 million between the end of January and mid-April in 1986.

The clubs around Park Lane and Piccadilly in London depend heavily on the high-roller market. Most of the whales in these establishments play up to half a million or even a million pounds ($1.6 million) in a single night.
